Update Regarding COVID-19
A Message from Dr. Greg Ware
We hope this letter finds you and your family doing well and staying healthy. Since June 1995 we have been committed to the safety and health of our patients and that will continue moving forward. All communities have been through a lot over the last few months and we are all looking forward to getting back to our regular routines.
We are currently open and seeing patients for all general dentistry and hygiene services.
Our office continues to follow infection control recommendations by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We stay up-to-date on any new rulings or guidelines that may be issued to stay on top of what is best for our patients and our staff.
Moving forward you will notice some temporary changes in place for your appointment:
Before entering the office for your appointment a staff member will take your temperature and ask you some screening questions, including:
Have you or a family member…
- Had a fever or felt feverish within the last 3 weeks?
- Experienced shortness of breath or other difficulties breathing?
- Had a cough or other flu-like symptoms, such as headache, upset stomach, body aches or fatigue?
- Experienced a recent loss of taste or smell?
- Been in contact with any confirmed COVID-19 positive patients?
- Traveled out of the country or to an area with a high incidence of COVID-19 within the last 2 weeks?
If you have any symptoms related to COVID-19 or have been in contact with anyone that has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks we kindly ask that you give us a call to reschedule your appointment.
Currently our waiting room is closed to patients. When you arrive for your appointment please give our office a call and a staff member will come get you from your vehicle and escort you to your treatment room. We will also take your temperature while you are in your car, so please keep your air conditioner on (to avoid a false reading).
If any paperwork is needed, we will either bring it out to your car or have you print it off of our website, fill it out at home, and bring it with you. We seek to minimize paperwork at this time. We also now have online forms that can be filled out and submitted electronically! You can CLICK HERE to access the online forms and submit them prior to your appointment.
Please wear a mask while you are in our facility (if you do not have one we will be happy to provide one for you). We will instruct you when it is time to remove it for dental care.
We need to minimize the number of people in our building so we are requiring that only the patient come back to the treatment room during the appointment. All other family or guests are asked to remain in the car during the appointment unless you are accompanying a minor patient. Please do not bring other children to the office if they do not have an appointment until the pandemic has passed.
We will greet you with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in place. We are making an effort to “distance” ourselves physically from our patients at this time. This is not the norm for us and we look forward to returning to normal later. Things will seem a little “clinical” for a time. Please understand your safety is paramount to us!
We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming appointment. We are here to help and serve you - If you have any questions about the new steps we are taking or if you need assistance with anything please do not hesitate to give our office a call at 706-769-1245.
Thank you for trusting us with your dental care!
Greg Ware, DMD and Staff
